In 2023 I began a project to see if I was still an artist.

With it’s original roots in an annual virtual challenge, I conceptualized my project of drawing one of the birds of Waterloo Region for every day of the year. With just over 300 species documented in Waterloo Region Nature’s Checklist of Birds which I intended to work off of - I had room to revisit birds and draw some of the interesting avian vagrants that have shown up in the region. I spent time every day drawing my bird and sharing it immediately on my social media. 

My daily bird project wove into a community of artists, birders, photographers, activists and educators. It took flight as a calling and consistent creative work drawing the creatures I love most on the planet in my signature style.
